Vitt Taxi (“we”, “our”, or “the App”) is provided by Orhan Demirçelik. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our mobile application on Android and iOS.

By using Vitt Taxi, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect and process the following:

  • Account and profile information: Name, email address, phone number, and other details you provide when registering or updating your profile.
  • Role-based data: Depending on your role (e.g. driver, admin, supplier), we may collect and display information related to operations, assignments, and contact details necessary for the service.
  • Location data: If you use the App as a driver, we may collect and use your location during operations for live tracking, when you have given permission and when the feature is in use. This may include location in the background (while the app is in the background or the screen is off) only during an active transfer/operation and only for as long as the tracking feature is enabled for that operation. Before we request access to your location in the background, we show you a clear explanation of how and when we use it and ask for your consent.
  • Device and usage information: Device type, operating system, app version, and general usage of the App (e.g. to fix errors and improve the service).
  • Authentication data: We store tokens on your device to keep you logged in; we do not store your password in plain text.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve Vitt Taxi.
  • Authenticate you and manage your account.
  • Show and manage operations, assignments, and contact information (e.g. phone and WhatsApp) within the App as part of the service.
  • Provide driver location tracking when you use that feature and have granted permission; background location is used only during active operations and is not collected when the app is closed or when you are not on an active job.
  • Communicate with you about the App (e.g. important updates or support).
  • Comply with applicable laws and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data Storage and Security

Account and operation-related data are stored on our servers and are accessed through the App.

Login tokens are stored on your device (e.g. in secure storage). We use industry-standard practices to protect data in transit and, where we control it, at rest.

Location data (including background location) is sent only when the driver uses the tracking feature during an active operation and only for as long as necessary for the service; it is not collected when the operation has ended or when tracking is turned off.

5. Third-Party Services and Links

The App may contain links that open external apps (e.g. phone dialer, WhatsApp). Use of those apps is subject to their own privacy policies; we do not control data collected by them.

We may use third-party services for hosting, analytics, or support. Where we do, we choose providers that respect applicable privacy and data protection standards.

If we use services like Google or Apple (e.g. for distribution, maps, or OS features), their respective privacy policies also apply to those parts of the experience.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal and operational requirements.
  • Object or restrict processing: Object to or ask for restriction of certain processing.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide the App, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it in line with our internal policies.

8. Children’s Privacy

Vitt Taxi is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected a child’s data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g. contracts, standard contractual clauses) where required by law.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or by email where appropriate. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when we make changes. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
